1 Hour Manuscript Consult
Starting at: $300
Payment due 24 hours in advance of session. Please fill out the interest form and we’ll reach out with more details.
What’s included:
- Pre-session review of either a first chapter or 2-page manuscript synopsis, plus we will send you a Google Form to collect necessary context (should be able to view your own answers)
- One hour consultation about what’s working from the sample, what’s challenging you as the writer, and where to go from here. Come in with specific questions or brainstorming prompts- whatever is going to help kick you into gear to get through the rest of your drafting or revision phase.

WriterFirst 50- Developmental Edit
Starting at: $250 + $.04/word
Nonrefundable deposit of $250 due 24 hours before initial consultation is scheduled, remainder before tracked changes & feedback deliverables are sent
Timeline: It takes ~2 weeks to deliver a developmental edit and the following deliverables
What’s included:
- A 30 minute initial consultation to discuss your goals with the manuscript (on a craft and distribution level, as applicable), comps I should keep in mind, and timeline. We will send you a Google Form to collect necessary context (should be able to view your own answers)
- Close reading of the first 50 pages of your manuscript, reading through at least twice and taking comprehensive notes on timing, characters, plot lines, etc.
- Tracked changes containing minimal editing suggestions and detailed marginal comments with thoughts, perceptions, questions, and more
- 2-5 page letter summarizing the feedback with my suggestions on how to approach revision for your next draft.
- Developmental edits do NOT include:
- Copyediting/proofreading

- 5-10 page letter summarizing the feedback with my suggestions on how to approach revision for your next draft.
